The Gangotri Yatra is a significant pilgrimage in Hinduism, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, the personification of the Ganges River. Situated at an altitude of 3,100 meters in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gangotri is believed to be the place where the Ganges descended to Earth from heaven. The main attraction of the Gangotri Yatra is the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The temple is constructed of white granite and is a prominent example of Himalayan temple architecture. The serene surroundings of Gangotri, with the Bhagirathi River flowing nearby and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in the background, add to the spiritual ambiance of the place. The yatra to Gangotri is not just about visiting a temple; it's also about experiencing the purity and sanctity of the Ganges and seeking blessings for spiritual upliftment and salvation. The journey to Gangotri involves trekking through rugged terrain and crossing icy streams, making it a physically challenging but spiritually rewarding experience.

Day 1 : Haridwar – Uttarkashi

Morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 2 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Early morning drive to Gangotri, enroute at Gangnani take a holy dip in Garam Kund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its nature beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 3 : Uttarkashi – Haridwar

Morning after breakfast, drive for Haridwar via Rishikesh.Check in Hotel. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla. Drop at Haridwar.
